Self-Care and the Coronavirus
The Coronavirus has caused a lot of stress and anxiety for students, staff, and parents. We went from a regular school structure to comprehensive distance learning in a matter of days. No one was prepared for the new challenges and responsibilities, but they leaned into the discomfort and did their very best. Anxiety and stress were heightened as we navigated Comprehensive Distance Learning and the worry & fear of COVID-19.
What we have realized is that everyone reacts in different ways to stress and anxiety. Knowing this, let us show generosity, compassion, and kindness to ourselves and one another as we approach this school year.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The Student Success Act (HB3427) will increase revenue for K-12 schools beginning in the 2020 – 2021 school year. This winter, many Oregon schools are applying for grants from the Student Success Act. You get to be a part of Mountain View Academy’s grant application by taking our parent survey and sharing your thoughts on Social Emotional Learning, early reading skills, and safety! Please visit the link at https://lesd.link/MVA_Survey2019 to take this 5 minute survey.
Thank you for taking time to share your input on this important subject!
